An axe any Viking would be well pleased with!

Thank you, SSA for the brilliant customer experience. The note was a nice touch. 5 star there. The axe/hatchet is what I expected, not disappointed. The online reviews of the axe are accurate. The edge is dull when purchased. I spent about 30 mins with a file and whetstone forming the edge. Not a big deal as it familiarises me with a new tool which is good to do anyway. But the reason for 4 stars, not 5. The axe feels good in your hand, hefty for its size. If you are looking for a handy camping tool to split up some kindling then this should be ideal. Log splitter it isn't, and it doesn't claim to be. SSA seem to be the only Aus-based reseller and the price was reasonable when you factor in exchange rates atm. There are of course cheaper axes of the same or better quality at this price but In short, it looks cool and you can channel your inner Ragnar Lothbrok!
