The Cold Steel 1849 Rifleman's Knife, based on the first knife officially designed for and purchased by the US Army, features a beefy 304.8mm spear point blade made of hand forged 1085 carbon steel with a sharpened swedge at the tip.
The Rifleman's Knife has full tang construction for strength, genuine Rosewood scales, a curved pommel and solid brass crossguard for secure grip, and a lanyard hole. A high quality leather sheath with belt frog and brass fittings is included. It has an overall length of 444.5mm, and it weighs 686g.

An awesome hand sword.

What a knife ! More like a hand sword this beast is built to last many, many generations, a knife that you can hand down.
<br> The Sheath is VERY impressive with top of the line leather work. It can be detatched from the frog to just slide into your belt for a lower profile and the blade is exceptionally well formed, practical and THICK. You know it when you draw this knife that although very "pretty "means business. A knife you could bet your life on.
