The ESEE S35VN is stainless steel, which means it doesn't require a lot of maintenance. This solid survival knife with a blade made from CPM S35VN by ESEE Knives will retain its sharpness a lot longer than ESEE's 'traditional' 1095 carbon steel without having to sharpen it often. As such this knife is weather resistant. The ESEE 4 S35V Knife is meant for cutting tasks, not batoning.

Almost a bomb-proof knife

A good stainless steel knife that shouldn't require maintenance as often as 1095 carbon steel. ESEE themselves have stated it is not as strong as their 1095, but it holds an edge longer and wont rust. The G10 scales are very grippy. They have as much palm swell like the G10 3D handles. The sheath is not Kydex and leaves black marks on the orange handle.
