Description
Compression is the key to the Boulder Junction Pack. It’s a fairly tall pack that holds a lot and really benefits from the cinched sides that the brass rings and laced cord provide. The zippered compartment at the bottom adds capacity and allows wet or dirty gear its own space. Twin zipper slides keep contents, like a rain jacket, ready at a moment’s notice. There’s a sleeve inside, at the back of the pack, able to handle a laptop, a water bladder, or whatever other flat stuff you want to put back there. The buckled pocket on the front aids organization and provides another spot to stash necessities. Waxed canvas keeps the weather out and will last for years. The premium padded backstraps provide comfort, and the brass ring attachment system supports the pack and provides independent movement between back and pack.

Premium buckskin padded shoulder straps - Cut from the same burly bridle leather and built with the same care, attention-to-detail and cushy closed-cell foam. All buckskin comes from real, wild deer hides, so each one is a little different.

To care for your waxed canvas use Martexin Waxed Canvas Conditioner.
Details
MADE WITHOUT COMPROMISE FROM THE HIGHEST QUALITY COMPONENTS BY FROST RIVER WAXED CANVAS FROM FAIRFIELD TEXTILES
Martexin Original Wax is an authentic American product that has stood the test of time and has outfitted American workers, farmers, explorers, fighters and outdoorsmen for many generations. The Martin family has been involved in the dyeing and finishing of textiles in the United States since 1838. It is the best canvas available, and Frost River stands behind it.

LEATHER FROM SB FOOT TANNERY
The leather in the straps and reinforcements come from the SB Foot Tannery in Red Wing, Minnesota. In 1872, Silas Buck Foot began tanning leather to provide high grade footwear for fellow Minnesotans to stay warm in the winter.  In 1905 the Foot family partnered with what will become Red Wing shoes. The partnership remains to this day.

RIVETED AND SEWN
The flapstraps on the canoe packs are double reinforced - riveted and sewn. The straps hold the pack closed and often bear the weight of the pack as it is lifted into and out of a canoe. They are relied upon and must hold, therefore Frost River ensures the security of the connection by both riveting and sewing it.

SOLID BRASS HARDWARE

All of the buckles, snaps, slides, and D-rings on Frost River packs and bags are solid brass. It matters because Frost Rivers’ products will outlast brass plating. Instead of turning steel grey the hardware will develop an old world brass patina. It’s the way it’s meant to be - and has a great sound.

DEERHIDE BUCKSKIN
Premium deerhide buckskin is used on Frost Rivers’ choppers, mitts and leather padded shoulder straps. It’s a supple, durable, and natural material that is sourced from wild deerhides taken during hunting seasons in the US. Most of the hides come from the Midwest. There will be some natural scars, scratches and imperfections in the leather. This is normal, and not a defect, adding character to Frost Rivers’ Reliable Softgoods.
