The Helikon-Tex Bergen Backpack is similar to the smaller version of Matilda, but still different. The pack is designed to contain the most important equipment for a short journey. With an overall capacity of approximately 25 litres, the 18 litre main chamber houses clothing and equipment for camping or bushcrafting while the extra pockets on the sides allows room for food or water bottles, plus, a middle pocket has a removable pipe that protects small items from being lost. Bergen has 3 places to carry an axe and 2 pockets for a saw or knife. You can attach pockets or gloves to the MOLLE/PALS hidden on the front. Additional items of equipment can be attached from below or to the backpacks flap. Made entirely of Cordura 500D.

Great Day or overnight pack - Excellent Quality - Great Price

I wanted a day pack that sat somewhere between a tactical and bushcraft pack. This is perfect. I opted for the brown colour. this pack is extremely well made. It is comfortable to wear and holds enough for a day trip or overnighter if you use a tarp or maybe ultra light one man tent. The sleeves for a knife/saw and axe are spot on. The shoulder straps and carry system are very well made and comfortable. This pack will last a long time and will wear in well ... you can tell. I also got the folding seat pad which fits in nicely ... this was a great addition to keep your butt dry on a hike. I recommend this as a great pack and well worth the money which, for what you get, is excellent value.

Love it, its like a mini tardis, you can fit so much into it and onto it.
<br>Just packed it out for the second time today and was able to enough for a basic 5 day bushwalk.
Excellent backpack for daily use - 5 stars!

I bought this backpack for use during lockdown so I could add sandbag weights and make my daily walks more of a challenge. It is so comfortable and well made, that carrying 10kg, split into 5kg in each side pocket still felt like I was not wearing a backpack at all. I have added a 2.5 litre hydration bladder at it fits perfectly in the space provided with room to upgrade the size later. The quality is outstanding and I will recommend this to all my bush walking friends.
