Helko Werk Black Forest Pack Axe with Sheath
Part of the Helko Werk Traditional Collection, the Black Forest Pack Axe is made with a traditional wide bit, German-style woodworking blade. Made in the Rhine Valley in Germany for more than 150 years, these axes are an example of quality craftsmanship that can only be developed through years of experience.
While the axe is best suited to cutting, with the wide bit it will hold up well for any splitting work. Finished with a lightweight American Hickory handle, it makes the axe light enough to carry in your pack and take out to camp. Each axe is sent out complete with an American made leather sheath.

I haven't swung it at much yet but it appears to be a well made ax. I'm writing this review before knowing much about the product because Survival Supplies Australia went above and beyond to keep me safe from scammers after a failed eBay purchase. Fantastic Axe

This is the highest quality axe I've ever owned. A real piece of art. I usually use a silky big boy and a laplander but I've found this axe completely replaces them. At 500mm this is the perfect package for hiking. I highly recommend this axe for all bushcrafters as it is far more efficient than either a silky or a laplander.
