A premium leather handle protector to protect your hatchet or axe handle from overstrike damage. The majority of handle damage often starts at the neck, either from miss-swings or normal wear and tear. Handle protectors protect this vulnerable area, and significantly increase handle longevity and durability. They are comfortable to use, easy to tie on, and give your hatchet or axe an authentic look and feel. The leather adjustable lace ensures that the protector will stay tightly fitted to the handle. Made in the USA from quality, vegetable-tanned, top-grain dark brown cowhide leather. The famous Helko Werk Crown logo is stamped into the leather face.

Although designed to fit Helko Hatchets and Axes, they do fit other makes and models. Measure the circumference of your handle to make sure it will fit.

Note: the edges of the leather are not designed to meet exactly at the back. A gap allows for stretch in the leather over time and provides room for the lacing.

The Axe size has a max width of 145mm and length of 145mm and fits most Helko Axes. Axe NOT included. Also available is the smaller Helko Werk Leather Hatchet Overstrike Protector.
