One of the finest pieces of handcrafted hunting knives, Karesuando knives are made in the Swedish part of Lapland in a traditional Northern Scandinavian way. 

The blade is 100mm long, 24mm wide and 3mm thick made from high quality Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel (hardened to HRC 57). This blade holds an excellent edge and is very sharp.

The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approximately 63.5mm into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it will not come loose. In fact, Karesuando knives offers a lifetime warranty that if the blade comes loose you will get a new knife straight away ! Basically the blade will never come loose ! The internal tang design is very beneficial from a weight perspective. 

The handle is made from oiled and stained curly birch, reindeer antler and a brass bolster. 
The sheath is handmade, welted and stitched together from 3mm vegetable tanned cow/ox hide leather in a slick and functional design with a belt loop at the back. 

This hunting knife is brilliant for deer stalking, hunting, fishing and forest activities. It is also suitable for carving and could be used in all kinds of outdoor activities such as survival, bushcraft and camping.

Karesuando is Sweden’s northernmost church village, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, along the same latitude as middle Greenland and the northernmost regions of Canada. 

The village was founded with its first permanent house in 1670. Reindeer husbandry is one of the area’s most important industries and Karesuando lies within the Könkämä sameby reindeer-herding area.
