The Patented Viking Whetstone Pendant is a modern version of the traditional Viking tool using world-famous genuine Arkansas Novaculite. Novaculite is a rock found only in Arkansas that is primarily composed of silica. Novaculite is a microcrystalline sedimentary rock in the form of flint or chert. To identify Novaculite, the sharper edges of the rock with appear translucent when held up to light. Colours of the rock vary from white, light to dark grey, pink, red, tan and black).
The Wazoo Whetstone Pendant is designed as a great general-purpose fieldstone for knife-edge maintenance, with a medium fineness (600-800 relative grit size). Each stone is carefully chosen, hand-cut, ground, and drilled.
