The MATCHCAP XL™ by Exotac is a nearly indestructible waterproof match case for storing matches and other survival gear. An integral red-phosphorus striker is not only protected from rubbing against the matches but is also waterproof due to its location inside the o-ring sealed cap. Keep your matches, tinder, strike pad and more dry and safe with the indestructible Exotac Matchcap XL match case. The two built-in strikers work well with both safety and strike anywhere matches. The Exotac Matchcap XL is waterproof to more than 5 meters. The new design leaves up to 0.7cm to spare for tinder storage when using stormproof matches and nearly half of the MATCHCAP XL is available for storage if using kitchen matches. The extra space may also be used to store water purification tablets, medicine, fishing hooks, first aid supplies and similar. Same design as the MATCHCAP original except XL version features: larger, improved striking surfaces; and larger diameter and height for increased capacity.
Safety-Match Striker
The MATCHCAP XL™ replaceable safety-match striker is located inside the cap protected by an o-ring. Because it's on the outside of the capsule, the stored matches won't rub on it either.
Strike Anywhere Striker
For use with strike-anywhere matches, the sandpaper pad on the bottom is water-resistant and great when everything else is too wet to use as a striking surface
Waterproof
Matches nor strikers work when wet so the capsule is sealed with an o-ring that prevents water and moisture intrusion at depths of not less than 5 meters (15 feet).

The MATCHCAP XL™ is CNC machined, in house from USA high-grade 6061 aluminum then anodised for protection.

Light and tough

Good product nice and light. It holds a good amount of matches both safety and storm proof. You just have to be careful when striking matches to not tilt it too much as you could potentially spill the stored matches.
