Exotac titanLIGHT Flint Refill Kit

Ensure your Exotac titanLIGHT™ Refillable Lighter is always ready with fresh flints. Store extra flints on top of the cotton in the fuel cavity. Ferrocerium flint will work in wet conditions and deliver up to 500 strikes. To replace the flints simply follow these steps:

1. Hold the titanLIGHT™ upside down, cap off, wick pointing down.
2. Gently squeeze the ends to secure the flameguard.
3. Use your fingernail or a pointed object to remove the small end of the brass pin holding the flameguard.
4. Slowly remove the flameguard, along with the spring. The old flint rests beneath the spring, within the flameguard.
5. Take out the spring and invert the flameguard. Tap it gently on a soft surface to release the flint.
6. Insert a new flint into the hole.
7. Place the spring against the flint within the hole.
8. Align and attach the flameguard back onto the titanLIGHT™ body, pressing the brass pin to secure it—no tools required.
9. Initially, the flint wheel may be slightly harder to flick until the flint surface smoothes out gradually making this easier.

TIP: 

If the old flint gets stuck and is worn down sufficiently, simply add another flint behind it. However, if the old flint exceeds the optimal length (is too long), the spring may resist reassembly. If this happens, just remove the new flint and persistently wear down the old one until it accommodates the new flint.
