Description
Frost River Waistbelts - Add some versatility to your Frost River pack with one of our durable waist belts. Here's a way to help haul or stabilise a load in one of Frost Rivers’ bigger packs. Compatible with any of the Frost River packs with a waist belt holder built-in, you can choose either style in one of three sizes. Measured to correspond to what you see in pant sizing, Frost River waist belts are sized to fit 56cm - 91cm waists for the Small, 76cm - 112cm for the Medium, and 102cm - 137cm for the Large. These belts have a lot of adjustability with the built in solid brass roller buckle and heavy duty Bridle Leather strap.

One of the great features of Frost River gear is no-nonsense materials and construction, which means repairability and adjustability. If once you get your waist belt you find that you've got lots of extra leather left in the strap, you can easily trim to a custom length with a sharp knife or good scissors (watch your fingers!). Just remember, you may want some extra room for when you're wearing cold or foul-weather gear, and then, just like you learned back in the day, measure twice, cut once.

MADE WITHOUT COMPROMISE FROM THE HIGHEST QUALITY COMPONENTS BY FROST RIVER WAXED CANVAS FROM FAIRFIELD TEXTILES
Martexin Original Wax is an authentic American product that has stood the test of time and has outfitted American workers, farmers, explorers, fighters and outdoorsmen for many generations. The Martin family has been involved in the dyeing and finishing of textiles in the United States since 1838. It is the best canvas available, and Frost River stands behind it.

LEATHER FROM SB FOOT TANNERY
The leather in the straps and reinforcements come from the SB Foot Tannery in Red Wing, Minnesota. In 1872, Silas Buck Foot began tanning leather to provide high grade footwear for fellow Minnesotans to stay warm in the winter.  In 1905 the Foot family partnered with what will become Red Wing shoes. The partnership remains to this day.

RIVETED AND SEWN
The flapstraps on the canoe packs are double reinforced - riveted and sewn. The straps hold the pack closed and often bear the weight of the pack as it is lifted into and out of a canoe. They are relied upon and must hold, therefore Frost River ensures the security of the connection by both riveting and sewing it.

SOLID BRASS HARDWARE
All of the buckles, snaps, slides, and D-rings on Frost River packs and bags are solid brass. It matters because Frost Rivers’ products will outlast brass plating. Instead of turning steel grey the hardware will develop an old world brass patina. It’s the way it’s meant to be - and has a great sound.

DEERHIDE BUCKSKIN
Premium deerhide buckskin is used on Frost Rivers’ choppers, mitts and leather padded shoulder straps. It’s a supple, durable, and natural material that is sourced from wild deerhides taken during hunting seasons in the US. Most of the hides come from the Midwest. There will be some natural scars, scratches and imperfections in the leather. This is normal, and not a defect, adding character to Frost Rivers’ Reliable Softgoods.
