Description

Lansky Diamond Grit Sharpening Hones

The various Lansky Sharpening hones and strops are each designed to work with specific types of blades and sharpening needs and each tool is designed to give you the perfect edge every time. Lansky diamond-coated sharpening hones are specially designed to work with modern, wear-resistant tool steels, which can be difficult to sharpen with traditional sharpening tools. The diamond coating allows for a more aggressive sharpening action, making it easier to reprofile or repair damaged edges.

Made up of different stones and strips that work together to give you a sharp edge on your blade there's a variety of diamond hones with different grits to suit different sharpening needs. The extra coarse 70 grit diamond hone is perfect for repairing heavily damaged edges or reprofiling a knife's bevel. The coarse 120 grit diamond hone is ideal for sharpening very dull edges, while the medium 280 grit diamond hone is best for maintaining and sharpening slightly dull edges. The fine 600 grit diamond hone is perfect for touching up and polishing an already sharpened edge. For the ultimate edge, Lansky also offer an ultra-fine 1000 grit ceramic hone, which is the final step in sharpening the highest quality cutlery. The fine 1000 grit polishing hone is designed to give your knife a factory-style finish, while the ultra-fine 2000 grit ceramic polishing hone is the ultimate polisher for your perfectly sharpened blade.

In addition to the various diamond hones and polishing hones is a leather stropping hone. This final step in the polishing process is used to refine the edge of your already sharpened knife, giving it a razor-sharp finish. Whether you're a professional chef, a home cook, a hunter, bushcraft survivalist or the avid outdoorsman, Lansky has the tool to keep your blades in top condition.
