Taking care of your poncho is important to ensure it remains waterproof. The PU coating provides waterproofing, while the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer surface causes water to bead up and roll off. When the DWR is deactivated, the fabric may look like it's failing, but it's just cosmetic. To reactivate the DWR, we recommend Nikwax or Granger's products.
