Around 2012, Ana Espinoza, designer of the TOPS Field Dog Knife, joined TOPS and since then, she’s taken on a multitude of roles within the company. From meticulously wrapping handles with cord to procuring everything needed—from parts and tools to even the humble paper towel—she’s been involved in every facet of TOPS' operations. Her extensive experience has made her intimately familiar with every TOPS knife available.

She has created the Field Dog Knife - its graceful lines and curves render it ideal for processing fish, birds, and small game, particularly catering to those who prefer a pointed tip on their hunting blades. Throughout the prototyping phase, the handle design and materials underwent a transformation. Ultimately, the Field Dog sports tan/black G10 handles with vibrant Orange G10 inserts, giving it a visually striking appearance that commands attention when placed down. Crafted from 154cm blade steel, it offers a low-maintenance yet high-edge retention capability. To complement this exceptional knife, a versatile black leather sheath adds modularity, enabling both left and right-handed wear and the choice between horizontal or vertical orientation.
